CA Producer's Grant Request for Proposals

CRCC - California Grazing Lands Coalition
CA Producer's Grant Request for Proposals
$10,000 in awards available in 2026 for rancher-led learning projects
The California Grazing Lands Coalition is seeking proposals from California ranchers and graziers to conduct knowledge transfer via local producer-led and hosted learning opportunities. The California Producers Grant encourages ranchers to provide local opportunities to learn and share with one another and with the public about grazing lands stewardship and the continued viability of ranching. CRCC-CalGLC will award up to $10,000 in 2026, with individual projects not to exceed $5,000 in funding support.
Proposals must align with the attached CalGLC strategic priorities. Events or activities will share information on sustainable grazing and ranching systems and the co-benefits of well-managed grazing lands. Projects and activities may include peer-to-peer or hosted workshops, clinics, and/or pasture-walks for ranchers and young producers or for the general community and consumers. Projects may be the development and or distribution of materials and other outreach media, or a public presentation. Creativity and ingenuity are encouraged.
A. Clearly state the topic and objective(s) to be addressed.
B. Clearly state which CalGLC strategic priority(ies) the project aligns with.
C. A full description of the project: format, venue, anticipated date, partners, budget overview, proposed materials to be developed or used, and how information will be shared to impacted stakeholders, including California livestock producers.
D. Explain how the applicant intends to evaluate and report on the success of the project.
- Proposals may be submitted any time in 2026. If funds for the year have been allocated, proposals may be rolled over into the following year.
- Proposals received by April 30, 2026 will be considered for the first awards.
- Proposals will be reviewed in the order they are received by a CRCC-CalGLC panel of 2 CalGLC rancher advisors and 1 CRCC board member.
- The report and any materials produced will be submitted within 30 days of the activity being completed in order to receive grant award. An award check will be mailed.
- Any materials developed for the project must be delivered to CalGLC and may be shared with other projects and outreach. Credit will be provided to the project.
