The Amador RCD is partnering with the Foothills Agricultural Guild to host a workshop on the Healthy Soils Incentive Program. The ARCD will be leading this workshop and providing one-on-one assistance on the application process. The California Department of Food and Agriculture is awarding $28 million dollars for agricultural land managers to implement healthy soil practices through the Healthy Soils Incentive Program. There are a total of 28 healthy soil practices; including cover crops, compost application, hedgerows, mulching, silvopasture, and many more. The request for applications is anticipated to open in late February or early March.
