South Sacramento-Amador Water Quality Alliance Membership in the Sacramento Valley Water Quality Coalition (Coalition) fulfills your obligation to comply with new requirements of the Central Valley Water Quality Control Board (Conditional Waivers of Waste Discharge Requirements for Discharges of Waste from Irrigated Lands). Owners of irrigated lands are out of compliance if they have not joined the Coalition by July 22, 2004. The Coalition will monitor water quality, report to the CVRWQB, attempt to trace the source of any water toxicity upstream from the monitoring sites, and conduct education and outreach on Best Management Practices. Sometime in October members will be assessed a fee, probably based on number of irrigated acres, to cover the costs of the Coalition. Members may withdraw from the Coalition at any time. The local administrator of the Coalition is the Amador Water Quality Alliance, a program of the Amador Resource Conservation District and the Amador County Agricultural Commissioner. COMPLIANCE IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE LANDOWNER APPLICANT (PARCEL OWNER) _______________________________ MAILING ADDRESS : _______________________________ E-MAIL ___________________ ________________________________ I elect to join the Sacramento Valley Water Quality Coalition through the Sacramento / Amador Water Quality Alliance.
